The Courtyard Cottage

The Courtyard Cottage is a charming and welcoming accommodation that can be accessed through an archway leading into a courtyard. The cottage is designed to let in plenty of natural light and offers ample space for guests to relax and unwind.

One of the highlights of the cottage is the beamed drawing room, which boasts an antique pine fireplace with an iron stove, adding a touch of traditional charm to the space. The floor is made of mellow terracotta tiles, which add to the warm and inviting atmosphere. Additionally, bow windows provide guests with stunning views of the Upper Court grounds, creating a sense of tranquility and relaxation.

It’s also worth noting that the Courtyard Cottage is a dog-friendly accommodation, making it an ideal choice for pet owners who want to bring their furry friends along. The separate dining room has a refectory table with seating for 8 (with an additional table providing for a total of 14 diners if needed). A door leads to a sheltered private outside seating area – just the spot for a summer lunch.

Overall, the Courtyard Cottage is a wonderful option for anyone looking for a peaceful and comfortable place to stay.

Please ensure if bringing young children, they need to be supervised at all times, as there is a lake and swimming pool on the premises. 

There are three bedrooms located over the first and second floor, sleeping a total of 8 people maximum.

Clematis room: Zip & link double room with bathroom opposite

Second Floor –
Attic room: A family room with 4 single beds in the former hayloft.

1 dog is allowed.

The Courtyard and Coach House are grouped together as “Upper Court Cottages” sleeping 25 people.
