The Lake Room – Upper Court Manor House
Our stunning master bedroom, a favourite with honeymooners, is a light and airy room, with plenty of space for a couple, or for a solo traveller looking for a truly sumptuous experience.
The Lake Room is in the manor house, a beautiful Georgian house with 15 acres of stunning grounds, including a lake, a swimming pool, and a tennis court. The manor house is home to the Herford family, who inhabit a separate floor, and have been welcoming guests to Upper Court for more than 40 years.
This English Country House style room is tastefully furnished with antique pieces, among which the crowning jewel is certainly the Georgian four-poster king sized bed. With comfortable armchairs and teamaking facilities, you can sit and enjoy a peaceful moment of contemplation, admiring the awe-inspiring view of our lake from the tall windows.
A door leads into a ensuite bathroom, which gives you both a bathtub, perfect for luxuriating in a long soak, and a spacious shower cubicle, as well as a WC and basin.
Through the ensuite bathroom, the Lake Room can be interconnected with the Red Room, another lovely double bedroom, to accommodate a group of up to four, such as a small family. The interconnecting door is blanked off if not in use.
The Lake Room is also suitable for business travellers looking for a country retreat with quick access to the M5, Tewkesbury (4 miles), Worcester (20 miles), Oxford (1 hour) and Birmingham (1 hour).
Please note that, due to the nature of the setting, the Lake Room is not suitable for children aged 2-10. Unfortunately, we cannot allow dogs in the Manor House. They are, however, welcome in our Coach House 16 and Dovecote cottages, so please do enquire for further information.
Breakfast is available as a booking extra. Please enquire for more information.
